Dinner Found helps families decide what's for dinner using the pantry, preferences, and dietary information you enter. This policy explains what information Dinner Found handles and how, in plain language. It is not legal advice.

Account and login information

Dinner Found may process account information, such as your email address and authentication information, so you can create and access your account. Passwords are not stored in plain text. If you sign in through Google, Dinner Found may receive the basic profile information Google provides for authentication.

Family profiles

You may enter family-member information such as names or nicknames, household roles, age categories, likes, dislikes, texture preferences, notes, dietary restrictions, and allergies. This information is provided by you, the account holder, and is used to personalize the Dinner Found experience.

Pantry information

You may enter pantry or kitchen information, including ingredients, quantities, categories, brands, and expiration dates. Dinner Found uses this information to suggest meals you can make from what you have on hand.

Saved meals and meal history

Community recipes

You may voluntarily submit recipes, ingredients, instructions, photos, descriptions, and other content to the community area. Community content submitted for public sharing may be visible to other users, consistent with the Terms of Service.

Information generated as you use Dinner Found

  • •Meal ideas and weekly plans generated from your pantry and family profiles.
  • •Family-tailoring suggestions that adapt a recipe for the people at your table.

How Dinner Found uses your information

Dinner Found uses the information above to:

  • •Suggest and personalize recipes and meal ideas for your household.
  • •Generate a weekly meal plan and the shopping list that goes with it.
  • •Send you the automated weekly meal-plan and pantry-reminder emails you have enabled.

Dinner Found may use information such as your pantry contents, family profiles, preferences, dietary restrictions, and other information you provide to personalize recipe suggestions. Dinner Found may use AI-assisted systems to generate, adapt, rank, and recommend recipes and meal ideas. When you request a recommendation or adaptation, the information you have provided may be sent to Dinner Found's AI provider as part of generating that response. Dinner Found does not guarantee the accuracy or safety of AI-generated recommendations. See the AI & Recipe Disclaimer.
